This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
A cleaned up version of the doodle graphic Tumblr user lovewallace created because it deserved to be a full grown graphic.
If it’s hard to read:
“you have van gogh’s ear for music” hahaha follow for more seventeenth century impressionist-painter burns
I just got a sudden wave of new followers I really hope you guys aren’t expecting more seventeenth century impressionist-painter burns
i’ll pay monet for them
All I want is someone to make figure drawing instruction that assumes that by drawing all shapes sizes and proportions of people you’ll be able to draw even a “standard” person, or really anyone. Instead it assumes the opposite, that by perpetually drawing the “ideal”, you’ll be able to draw other anatomies with equal ease
omg so Loomis drew standard man and standard woman, ok that’s fine lots of figure drawing instructions have these kinds of examples.
But standard woman
had heels…
You were just talking about how we need to draw the nude figure to understand the underlying anatomy and then draw them with clothing. Why wouldn’t that apply to the feet?
ugh…..
i hope revving your motorcycle engine in the middle of the night made you feel better about your small penis
“since all of us are either male or female”
Oh Loomis… You would not have survived long on tumblr sweetie.
Loomis’ whole “act like female artists aren’t a thing” thing is really unnerving.
